Workshops
We run workshops across a pretty wide range — from fixing wheelchair spokes to making graphic novels. What they have in common is that they're hands-on, low-pressure, and usually more enjoyable than you'd expect.
No prior experience is assumed for any of them. Come and see.
Equipment Maintenance
For wheelchair and mobility aid users, carers, and anyone curious about how things work.
Two sessions currently running:

Spoke maintenance — Learn how to check and correct spoke tension on a manual wheelchair. Properly tensioned spokes prevent rim flex, uneven load stress, and premature wheel failure. Most people leave able to do basic spoke checks themselves.
SmartDrive servicing — Learn how to extend the life of your SmartDrive rollers. Worn or damaged housing edges cut into the rollers over time; regular servicing prevents friction damage and uneven wear before it becomes expensive.
Both sessions are run by volunteers with hands-on experience. Bring your chair if you have one, or come and learn on a workshop chair.
One-on-one sessions over a coffee are available, so just call to make a time.

Photography groups are like catching up over coffee, but with cameras and photos — people chatting, sharing moments, encouraging each other, and slowly feeling connected again to the beauty in the world.
Sessions are informal. You don't need an expensive camera — a phone is fine. The point is noticing things, not equipment.
Point, snap, and share your images over a coffee.
AI Creativity — Graphic Novels & Satire
Sometimes the easiest way to say something hard is to draw it. Or to make it absurd. Or to turn it into a villain in a dystopian comic.
This workshop uses AI image and story tools to make graphic novels, social satire, and editorial commentary. It's particularly good for people who want to express something but haven't found the medium yet.
You can:
Experiment with social satire
Craft dystopian social commentary
Create a graphic novel
Try your hand at editorial illustration
No drawing ability required. Seriously.
